Hello from the west coast of Ireland. I am an Irish American living in Lisdoonvarna, Co. Clare. In May, 2008 have launched my cookery book “Coming Home To Cook - Vegetarian Recipes Inspired by the Organic Gardens of Ireland.” see www.marysheehan.com for more info on me and the book. I am a vendor at 2 Farmers markets, the Kilrush Market and the Doolin Market and Crafts Fair. They are both lively, fun markets with lots of good, locally sourced food, high quality Irish made crafts, an occassional tune and more. I also travel Ireland giving Cookery Demonstrations at markets, Food Festivals, Harvest Festivals, Health Shops and Supermarkets. At the demo I cook recipes from the book, talk about the nutritional aspects of the foods, answer lots of questions about food sensitivities, how to cook grains and then we eat! I will post recipes and encourage you to contribute with your own vegetarian recipes. New events, locations, press coverage, radio interviews and small world stories are happening every day here so check in often.
